Brief mention of us was found in the Rockford Register Star "GO" section!
(article excerpt)
“A calming, peaceful experience is the goal,” said Patrick Gallaher, general manager of the gardens.
The Japanese twist comes in the tea presentation in cast-iron Japanese kettles. Gallaher says most people who take in a tea service are families.
“Once we did a service for a 6-year-old’s birthday party with apple cider and hot chocolate,” he said. “Another time we had three generations of a family in, and they blogged about the meal.”
That was April Cate of Rockford, who came with mom and daughter and had never blogged anything before that experience.
“From beginning to end I was blown away by the experience, and that it was in Rockford,” she said. “They set the tone for relaxation, to take your time and sample as many teas as you want.”
Cate wrote her review at welovebento.blogspot.com, an offshoot of her Rockford-based Japanese-products business We Love Bento.
